A weekday Learning Preschool Assistant teacher for TLBC plays an important role in the classroom as they must work closely with the lead teacher to develop and implement a safe and learning environment for the children. Responsibilities and Duties include, but are not limited to: -Assisting with preparing lesson plans and bulletin boards as well as organizing and leading activities as directed by the lead teacher; examples include morning circle time, rotating centers, crafts, story time, playtime, reading books, educational activities, Bible lessons, and scripture reading. -Assisting with gathering supplies and copies before class begins -Maintaining a safe and clean classroom environment. This includes teaching hand washing, and sanitizing the classroom and toys daily. -Supervising field trips and special events. -Changing diapers and assisting in potty training if necessary. -Completing 10 hours of continuing education or training throughout the school year. -Completing yearly training and reporting Child Abuse/Neglect and daily health screening as required by the Department of Social Services (DSS) -Submitting to a yearly background check. -Providing a yearly staff health report. Faith: -Follower of Christ -Active in a church of a Christian Faith -Must be clear in the teachers personal life, demeanor, attitude, and language. Education/Experience -High School Diploma, GED, or higher required -Previous work experience with preschool aged children is preferred.
