Senior Pastor Position First Baptist Church Martinsville, Virginia “Live Faith, Be Love, Speak Hope” First Baptist Church of Martinsville Virginia is seeking a full-time Senior Pastor. Our church has been serving the community for one hundred forty years. We have strong lay leadership who help to carry out the ministries of our church. Qualifications for a Senior Pastor include a degree from an accredited seminary or divinity school, ordination as a Baptist minister, and relevant pastoral experience. The candidate must have the skills to evolve with our ministries and to provide leadership to the congregation in all church matters. The Senior Pastor is expected to work in an involved, supportive and collaborative way to sustain our Early Learning Center. Our ELC is a vital part of our church ministry and the highest rated childcare program in Martinsville City and the surrounding counties. First Baptist Church has a covenant relationship with a sister church, which includes sharing an Associate Pastor for Music and Worship and an Associate Pastor of Families.
