Do you know you have a call to be a Student Pastor or Next Gen pastor but want training and development as you get started? Columbia's Church Residency Program could be the next step on your ministry journey! This program pairs emerging leaders with seasoned pastors for practical training and coaching through their first 2 years of ministry. Student Ministry at Columbia is part of the Discipleship Ministry Area. Student Ministry’s comprises middle and high school students & families (7th grade – college). A Student Ministry Resident will engage to bring about the vision that equips and empowers the parents to be the primary faith leaders in their home. Residents will participate in planning, organizing and leading the discipleship of students through small groups, service, summer camps, and special events that are directly tied to the church-home strategy that partners with parents. This includes leading small group and large group events, developing and communicating about parent resources, reviewing and coordinating curriculum, planning programming, and recruiting, training and developing volunteer leaders. Residents will be supervised by the Minister to Students. The Residency provides hands on ministry leadership experience under the supervision of an experienced pastor who will coach and develop you as a pastor.
