The principle function of the position will be to develop and nurture the spiritual, emotional, and social character of our children and youth. This will be accomplished by providing Biblical teaching and application as well as age appropriate activities. The job will consist of the following elements: 1. Teaching ministry consisting of teaching Sunday Youth Sunday School, assisting with Children's Church during Sunday worship, and teaching Youth Wednesday night Bible Study. 2. Pastoral ministry consisting of visiting with children, youth and their parents in their homes as needed. Counseling with youth upon request. Establishing and maintaining working relationships with parents and the Children and Youth Councils. Encouraging adult volunteerism in the Children and Youth programs. Maintain communication with youth using approved social media tools. 3. Evangelism ministry consisting of planning events that offer the opportunity for student to invite their friend to hear a clear gospel presentation. Coordinate activities with other outreach teams. Other duties will include working with the Children and Youth Councils to plan group ministries for the purpose of fellowship, recreation, and service opportunities. Information regarding activities will be submitted for inclusion in the worship program each week. This is a part time position expected to require 15 to 20 hours per week. Compensation will be determined based upon the experience level of the candidate.
