Overview: The Communications Director will provide leadership and strategic direction for both the digital and physical creative needs of our church. This role will be pivotal in shaping the church’s creative identity and vision, ensuring that all content, whether online or in-person, effectively communicates the gospel and engages our community. The Communications Director will spearhead the creative process, develop imaginative concepts, and bring them to fruition in a way that connects with those who do not yet know Jesus, while empowering those who do, to be sent out into the world to share the Good News. Specifics: 1. Manage/update information on the church website and all social media platforms. 2. Organize and plan all communication and serve as the “eyes” for all things print and electronic, looking for clear communication and consistency. 3. Collaborate with staff/church ministries to create and implement communication strategies. 4. Create/manage on-site publication of all events and services (funerals, dedications, baptisms, announcements, publications, etc) 5. Manage church calendar and schedules including facilities reservations, baptisms, dedications, etc. 6. Manage/update church membership and attendance in database. 7. Purchase, manage, and organize office supplies, Sunday School class materials, etc. 8. Interface with various community groups including social services, security firms, area churches, vendors, church committees, members, and volunteers. 10. Assist in other administrative duties as needed/assigned What You Bring: 1. Must possess excellent interpersonal and relational skills, be a team player, and use tact/diplomacy/sensitivity/discretion. 2. Demonstrate competence and creativity in digital and print communications 3. Must be comfortable with adapting and using new software programs 4. Must have initiative and be proficient in digital marketing, content management systems, and social media platforms. 5. Must have experience creating, maintaining and expanding information on various media, marketing, and graphic design platforms to include Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Sign-up Genius, Zoom, Canva, Constant Contact, other websites, etc. 6. Demonstrate strong Christian character in all aspects of life 7.
