Job Title Director of Communications Position Reports to: Executive Pastor Job Classification: Exempt (salaried), full-time position Principal Function: Communicate Bonsack’s mission & vision through print, digital & multimedia channels. Maintain branding, style and communication standards on behalf of the organization. Responsibilities • Develop and customize graphics and video for events, initiatives and programs, including but not limited to print publications, programs, bulletins, interior and exterior signage and announcement slides • Design and coordinate production of bimonthly church newsletter • Work with outside vendors for printing and production as needed • Edit, publish and share video content • Manage website, mobile app & event registration webpages • Design and schedule weekly email updates and Sunday morning emails • Maintain social media presence on Facebook, Instagram, & livestream feeds • Prepare and administer the communications, advertising and newsletter budget • Help educate staff on communications and marketing best practices • Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor or the Executive Pastor Requirements: Knowledge, Skills, Abilities • A loving and vital relationship with Jesus Christ • Support of the vision and the mission of Bonsack Baptist Church • College degree and willingness to enhance skills through continued education opportunities (i.e., conferences, online seminars, etc.) • Extensive experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) • Ability to listen and communicate clearly, both orally and written • Exceptional organizational skills • Ability to manage multiple projects at once • Self-starter • Website & Social Media Management • Experience with photography, video production & editing preferred • Ability to collaborate with staff and be part of a team to promote the broader vision of the church • Requires passing criminal and sexual misconduct background checks Please send resumes (including link to any available portfolio) to: Jill Winston (jwinston@bonsackbaptist.org)
