JOB DESCRIPTION | Director of Ministry to Families and Children Employee Category: Full-time / Exempt # Hours: 40 per week Salary Range: $90,000 - $95,000 Reporting to: Senior Minister Supervision (Direct Report): Nursery and childcare staff, Sunday school support staff, Vacation Bible camp staff Brief Description: The Director of Ministry to Families and Children is responsible for the development, implementation, and coordination of programs and ministries to welcome, support, and disciple the families and children of Plymouth Church and the community. Primary Responsibilities: 1. Develop a comprehensive, integrated strategy for the Christian education and development of children and their families. 2. Design, implement, and coordinate programs for children. 3. Design, implement, and coordinate programs for parents. 4. Design, implement, and coordinate programs for Vacation Bible camp. 5. Recruit, schedule, and develop volunteers and staff for children’s program. 6. Create outreach events for families and children. 7. Ensure compliance with the church’s safety policies. 8. Review policies and procedures for the children, child care workers, and volunteers for improvements. 9. Maintain regular communication with the Senior Minister to share needs, activities, and hopes. 10. Perform other activities as assigned by the Senior Minister.
