Sylvania Heights Baptist Church is a small, loving, and faithful congregation located near the small college community of Fredericksburg, Virginia in Spotsylvania County. We are seeking a devoted and spirit-led pastor to guide us into our next season of seeking and serving the Lord. Our congregation is multi-generational and dedicated to Bible-based teaching and fellowship. We are seeking a pastor who loves the Lord and is eager to share that love with others. This individual will help us spiritually in preaching and teaching the Word of God, caring for the congregation along with overseeing ministries and outreach. We are looking for someone who is excited at the opportunity to grow this church and bring a new experience to our church and community, such as, modernizing services and ministries with the use of different technologies and resources. Key Responsibilities: Preach and teach biblical sermons during Sunday services Lead in spiritual development, discipleship, and Bible studies Officiate weddings, funerals, baptisms, and other church ceremonies Work with the deacons and church leadership to direct the church Encourage, support, lead ministries, and outreach to the community.
