Pastor
Oak Chapel Baptist Church, located just outside Orange, Virginia, is prayerfully seeking a pastor to shepherd our congregation and lead us in gospel ministry. Established in 1891, Oak Chapel has a long history of faithful ministry in central Virginia and is eager to continue growing in faith, fellowship, and outreach.
Orange is a dynamic small town located about 30 miles from Charlottesville, Virginia. Our church currently averages attendance in the mid-20s and includes young families. We meet each Sunday at 10:00 a.m. for Sunday School and 11:00 a.m. for worship, and we also gather for a midweek service.
The pastor of Oak Chapel Baptist Church will serve as the spiritual leader of the church, preaching and teaching God’s Word, caring for the flock, equipping members for ministry, and helping guide the church in evangelism, discipleship, and community outreach. We are seeking a pastor who has a heart for people, a love for Scripture, and a desire to become part of the local community.
Candidates must meet the Scriptural qualifications for pastoral ministry as set forth in 1 Timothy 3:1–7, Titus 1:5–9, and 1 Peter 5:1–3. The ideal candidate will be motivated to help the church grow, willing to invest in families and individuals, and committed to leading with humility, faithfulness, and pastoral care.
Oak Chapel is open to either a full-time or part-time pastoral arrangement depending on the candidate’s circumstances and the needs of the church.
Interested candidates should submit a resume, statement of faith, references, and any available sermon links or preaching samples to Oak Chapel Baptist Church Pastor Search Committee:
