Our small, rural Southern Baptist church in Stony Creek. Va., seeks a compassionate and dedicated Pastor to lead our congregation, grounded in biblical principles, and share our values to foster spiritual growth across all age groups. Our church is a strong supporter of mission work across the world. We are located approximately 49 miles south of Ricmond, Virginia. The church was founded in 1773, and was the site of a small skirmish during the Civil War in June of 1864. The church still bares the scars of cannon ball fire. Duties of Pastor: * Is the spiritual leader of the church and will adhere to the Constitution and By Laws * Will lead the Sunday worship service (11AM) * Will lead a weekly Bible study * Teach the youth an age appropriate weekly Bible session * Will be available to teach Sunday school * Be present at all Church functions * Work with Church members and the local community * Visit the elderly, shut-ins and hospitalized individuals * Visit prospective members in the community For more information about our church please view our website www.sapponybaptist1773.org.
