Berea Baptist Church. Senior Pastor, (F/T or P/T). Located in Fredericksburg, VA, Berea Baptist is an active, multi-generational body, committed to the gospel of Jesus Christ and the authority of Scripture. The pastor will serve as our primary spiritual leader and partner in ministry. This role is rooted in: preaching and teaching the gospel through well organized, Bible-based sermons and Bible studies that edify, challenge and encourage; providing spiritual, pastoral, outreach, administrative and servant leadership to the congregation; safeguarding, encouraging and nurturing the growth of our youth & young adults; and working collaboratively with our leadership team of Deacons & Committees. We affirm the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message Statement as indicative of our core beliefs. Candidates are expected to stand firm for the sanctity of human life, the sacredness of marriage between one man and one woman, and the fundamental freedom to express our faith in our community. He should possess strong leadership and strategic thinking capabilities in order to continue Berea’s 173 years of faithful service to God through growth both within the church and throughout the surrounding community.
