Anointed New Life Baptist Church Serves Public Schools in Their Community
Anointed New Life Baptist Church thrives by serving Henrico public schools
Anointed New Life Baptist Church, a BGAV-cooperating congregation, shared with us a most wonderful story of how they are serving their community--written by their local public school district in Henrico:
“We are so grateful for our community partners who make tremendous contributions to our schools! Check out what Anointed New Life Baptist Church, Canterbury Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center and @Unleashed The Salon have been doing in support of L. Douglas Wilder Middle School! On July 4, items were collected and the efforts of those involved in supporting the school were recognized. A few highlights:

- The church collected 600 school supply items.
- Canterbury Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center donated 250 drawstring bags. The bags are used to pack weekend food bags using donations from the school's "Community Closet" during the school year.
- Some important Wilder supporters were recognized for the impact of their efforts — Carolyn Clarke, HCPS family advocate with L. Douglas Wilder MS, Jaqueline Shipp with Canterbury Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, and Martina Turner with "Unleashed The Salon." The three received appreciation bags filled with gifts, and some well-deserved words of thanks.
During the 2020-21 school year, Canterbury and Unleashed The Salon both donated food and other items to the LDWMS Community Closet, in coordination with the church.
Thank you for your support of L. Douglas Wilder MS, Henrico County Public Schools, and our community!”
