Read about one of the artists featured at this year's art exhibit

HopeTree Family Services has partnered with Virginia Baptist churches and BGAV for generations. As a faith-based nonprofit serving children, families, and adults across the Commonwealth, HopeTree’s ministries include foster care, developmental disabilities services, counseling, residential programs, and education.
How did you hear about the Art for the Not Yet?
Our CEO encouraged HopeTree to participate after learning about BGAV’s Art for the Not Yet initiative. We saw it as an opportunity to celebrate the creativity and God-given gifts of the individuals we serve while participating in this year’s BGAV conference.
Briefly explain your piece for the “Art for the Not Yet” exhibit.
HopeTree’s submission, Created with Purpose: Voices, Gifts, and Possibilities, highlights the talents of individuals served through our Developmental Disabilities Ministry. The collection features visual artwork, handcrafted crochet creations, and sacred music created by residents across several HopeTree programs. Through their creativity, these artists remind us that every person is uniquely gifted, every life has value, and every story is still being written.
