This is some text inside of a div block.

Linda S. Nedilsky was born in France and spent her early years in Germany as part of a military family. The family later lived in several states before settling in Memphis during her high school years. She studied fine arts and art education at the University of Memphis and began her teaching career in the Memphis City Schools.

After meeting her husband, who was also in the military, she moved to Virginia. She continues to paint as a private artist, submitting work to exhibitions and accepting commissions in Northern Virginia. After 30 years of marriage, she and her husband found their faith home at Manassas Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor David Donahue.

How did you hear about the Art for the Not Yet?

My pastor, David Donahue of Manassas Baptist Church, suggested I submit some of my artwork to the BGAV’s Art for the Not Yet exhibition.

Briefly explain your piece for the “Art for the Not Yet” exhibit.

My painting, originally titled Leave a Light On, is based on the theme “The Waiting Heart.” The light represents a guide for those who have not yet come home. Painted during a severe snowstorm, the piece visualizes the deep longing many feel for a light to lead them toward God’s guidance and comfort.

Visit the "Art for the Not Yet" exhibit at BGAV's 2026 Annual Meeting to see Linda's art as well as many other pieces submitted from BGAV's family across the globe!
