Connect Your High School Grads to Collegiate Ministries!

This is some text inside of a div block.

College is such a critical time in the lives of young adults to see clearly who God is, who God created them to be, and to make important decisions about how they will live in ways that reflect the transforming love of Christ in their life and in the world. Through a heightened sense of calling, students begin to orient their lives around the way of Jesus and begin to align their lives with the vision of God for the world. This is a whole life mission in which their campus, career, community, church, and family all connect to the work of God in the world.

The challenges of this past year have emphasized the importance of Christ centered community. With great expectation, Kairos Collegiate Ministers across the state are ready to welcome these new students into rich and gospel-centered communities after an unprecedented and isolating year.

As ministers, we anticipate the needs and hopes of our communities as we step back into key moments of in-person gathering this upcoming program year. This buzz of excitement will be more apparent than ever on college campuses brimming with eager young adults in the heat of mid-August.

BGAV's Kairos ministries are committed to helping our congregations successfully pass the baton of discipleship from a student’s home church to their new campus community. Getting plugged into a campus ministry at the start of undergrad is vital to closing the gap between youth ministry and college years. It is often said that many students drop off the radar of their home churches once they graduate, but this does not have to be the case! You can be a part of the ongoing mission through this transition time by connecting your high school graduates with the Kairos minister on their campuses. Its as simple as filling out a form: https://www.kairosinitiative.org/incoming-student-contact

Please take a few minutes to complete this contact form to connect your students with a campus minister at their school. You can go a step further with a quick phone call or email to the campus minister letting them know a little bit about your students who are coming their way. You can find a list of names and contacts for our Kairos ministries at www.kairosinitiative.org

All of us have faced challenges while navigating this new post-pandemic world but our mission remains the same: sharing the only hope and present reality of the living Savior, Jesus Christ. Let us not lose sight of this mission no matter what hurdles lie in the path.
