Food to Faith: Participants Inspired to Action at Dinner Church Encounters
In early March, more than 50 people participated in the first round of Food to Faith trainings. Verlon Fosner, leader of the Dinner Church Collective, and his wife Melodee shared the vision for Jesus Tables that are at the heart of the Dinner Church movement. They helped participants see that Dinner Tables are the best way to reach an isolated population.

Why? Because a table is the great equalizer; everyone has to eat. Conversation and life sharing naturally happens at tables. We see throughout scripture how Jesus and his disciples primarily went about eating and healing, and we see that Jesus most often revealed himself at a table.
Participants in the trainings were inspired to begin thinking about how they could begin to consider Jesus’ tables in their own ministry contexts. After the trainings, participants spend the next few weeks sharing the heart of what they learned with their local congregations and gathering a local Dinner Church team in preparation for the next phase of training—the Dinner Church Launch—which will help these teams develop their specific plans.
