Impact Disaster Response Monitors Hurricane Melissa Aftermath

Donations needed for hurricane survivors and response efforts in the Caribbean

This is some text inside of a div block.

Impact Disaster Response is monitoring the situation after Hurricane Melissa passed through Jamaica and continues northeast. We have been in touch with partners who are active in the area, and they are beginning to prepare a response. An advance team from our wider disaster response network plans to be in Jamaica this weekend to begin assessment and preparations for what response may be able to happen. We are also in touch with baptist partners in other affected countries and will communicate their needs as they share them.

Because of the widespread destruction from the storm, volunteers are unlikely to be able to travel to the affected areas in large numbers for some time.

Please pray for those affected by Melissa and for those who are beginning the recovery process.

If you would like to support the response, you can do so at the link below. Select “Active Disaster Response (Hurricane Melissa)” in the dropdown.
Donate online now.

If our status changes in this response, we will share that via email and on social media with our volunteers.
