Parent’s Night Out: Sharing God’s Love with Our Community
JMU's BCM serves their local parent community for Valentine's Day

On Valentine’s Day, we opened our building to 31 children from around our community, providing their parents with a much-needed night out. This special event was designed to serve local families by offering a safe, fun, and faith-filled environment for their children while they enjoyed an evening together. Sixteen dedicated college students volunteered their time and energy to create a welcoming space filled with crafts, games, and a meaningful Bible lesson centered on God’s love. The children engaged in hands-on activities, joyful play, and a message that reminded them of their worth and the unwavering love of God. This event was structured as a donation-based opportunity, allowing parents to contribute any amount they felt led to give. Through their generosity, we raised approximately $700 to support student missions and activities. More than just a fundraiser, this night became a testament to the power of community coming together to support and uplift one another.
